We took the Opto Compressor from our Vari Tube Recording Channel and converted it to smaller 500 formats for you. The input transformer, opto compressor, and FET properly translate the Tegeler sound to the 500 format. Our in-house transformers provide harmonic basic saturation from the start. The signal is then routed through our tried-and-true The Vocal Leveler is a classic optical compressor with no frills, a true opto circuit from the VTRC.
FET and gain reduction
Vocal Leveler: The FET refines the sound to be warm and tube-like. The Vocal Leveler is a traditional optical compressor with no extras.With only two knobs for gain reduction and output volume, you have all the parameters you need to get fast and convincing results. The connection feature and stepped potentiometers make it simple to analyze stereo signals and recall your settings. You may also modify the compressor’s reaction times with a toggle switch, preparing you for a wide range of recording or mixing scenarios.
