The SPL DeS 500 Series Dual Band De-Esser Module is placed in a single slot on the 500-series rack module. It offers an alternate method of signal processing that uses phase cancellation to eliminate sibilance. The DeS has two frequency bands that may be utilized alone or together. Two de-esser stages are connected in sequence as separate modules (Lo-S is set first in the chain) to boost processing efficiency while avoiding audible artifacts. Focused processing using high and low bands allows for precise handling of sibilant sounds. Furthermore, input signals are automatically adjusted to provide equal processing, regardless of the distance between the source and the microphone.Band Connectivity
