When you're miking drum kits in the studio, one problem you'll need to overcome is issues with rattling noise - especially when drum mics are placed particularly close to your cymbal stands. DW's 9700 features built-in plastic tube insulators, which fit inside the heavy-gauge tubing and help prevent rattle.
